15+ Employees who got fired on the spot: 'I was late 37 days in a row'

These employees were surprised to find out that their bosses were firing them… but some of them made huge mistakes. 

How many days in a row can you be late to work before your bosses start getting snippy about it? It certainly depends on your job. At a lot of white-collar gigs, you can waltz in at like 11 AM and no one really bats an eye. But if you work in any kind of job where you have to clock in, you really can't be even a minute or 2 late without your bosses flipping their lids.

  • This person shared that after being late every day for well over a month, they got fired, and that's a real shame. Let's hope that they moved upward in their career, to the kind of job where a non-morning-person can thrive! 

    Other people shared that they got fired for reasons that weren't even their fault! 

    For example, the most infuriating story of the bunch was a person who was forced to train their replacement — a nepo-hire. Nepotism hires are rarely good at their jobs. They just have the connections needed to get them in the door. 

    There's also one tale that is totally baffling here. This employee wrote that they were fired for kind of no reason, the firing just came out of the blue. Guess why they were fired? Oh, because the company wanted to fire someone else with the exact same name. To avoid embarrassment, the company simply proceeded to fire the wrong person! That's just so crazy, and it just goes to show that employee loyalty doesn't mean a thing these days. Workplaces can and do fire employees at random, just because they can.
